ITINERARY
Day 01 | Huaraz – Cuartelhuain – Janca (Mitucocha Lake)

🚌 Transfer: Huaraz → Cuartelhuain (4,180 m / 13,714 ft)
🥾 Trek: Cuartelhuain → Cacanan Punta Pass (4,700 m / 15,420 ft) → Janca Camp (4,230 m / 13,878 ft)
Day 02 | Janca (Mitucocha) – Carhuacocha Lake
🥾 Trek: Janca Camp → Alcay Pass (4,780 m / 15,682 ft) → Carhuacocha Lake (4,140 m / 13,583 ft)
Day 03 | Carhuacocha Lake – Viewpoint of Tres Lagunas – Huayhuash Camp
🥾 Trek: Carhuacocha Lake → Siula Pass (4,830 m / 15,846 ft) → Huayhuash Camp (4,350 m / 14,272 ft)
Day 04 | Huayhuash – Portachuelo Pass – Viconga Lake - Hot Springs Guñog

Day 05 | Hot Springs Guñog – Cuyoc Pass – Cuyocpampa
🥾 Trek: Guñog Hot Springs → Cuyoc Pass (5,050 m / 16,568 ft) → Cuyocpampa Camp (4,560 m / 14,961 ft)
📍 Optional Side Trip: San Antonio Viewpoint (5,020 m / 16,469 ft) — approx. 3-hour optional hike to one of the best panoramic viewpoints of the Huayhuash range.
Day 06 | Cuyocpampa – Huayllapa – Barranca
🥾 Trek: Cuyocpampa → Santa Rosa Pass (5,070 m / 16,634 ft) → Huayllapa (3,600 m / 11,811 ft)
🚌 Transfer: Huayllapa → Barranca
⏰ End: approx. 6:30 PM (Barranca)
SERVICES
INCLUDED:
- Transport: From your hotel in Huaraz to the starting point of the trek, and from the end of the trek to your hotel in Barranca.
- Camping: Good quality mountain tents (2 people per tent), mattresses, dining tent, kitchen tent, tables, chairs, dishes and kitchen utensils.
- Meals: Breakfast, lunch and dinner (option for vegetarians or vegans).
- Guide: Certified trekking guide (English or Spanish).
- Cook: Trained cook to prepare varied and healthy dishes.
- Arriero: In charge of loading the donkeys and driving them.
- Donkeys: The number of donkeys depends on the size of the group.
- Duffel bag: that will be with the donkeys while you hike. This bag should not exceed 7kg/15lbs. and needs to include your sleeping bag and personal belongings. During the day you will only carry your daypack with items for personal use.
- Emergency horse: A horse will be available with the muleteers in case of emergencies for evacuation purposes.
- Transport Huayllapa to Barranca.
- Assistance in the lodging and bus reserve in Barranca.
- First aid kit.
NOT INCLUDED:
- Entrance fee PEN 250 (Huayhuash Comunities)
- Personal trekking equipment: Sleeping bag (it is possible to rent in Huaraz), trekking shoes or boots, jacket and/or waterproof pants, poncho, backpack, flashlight, etc.
- Additional costs: as a result of leaving the trek early, emergency rescue and/or evacuation, extra food or drinks in towns, medical treatment.
- Breakfast the first day and dinner the last day.
- Hostel in Barranca.
- Bus Barranca - Lima/Huaraz.

DEPOSIT, PAYMENT AND CANCELLATION POLICY

EN: A 30% deposit per person is required to secure the reservation, which will be confirmed once the deposit is received. The remaining balance must be paid 30 days before the start of the tour; if preferred, it may be paid in cash during the pre-tour briefing. Cancellations made less than 25 days before the tour are non-refundable.

El saldo restante debe pagarse 30 días antes del inicio del tour; si prefiere pagar en efectivo, podrá hacerlo durante el briefing previo al tour.
